Project Details

eco-i were appointed to design, supply and commission a HVAC control system for the new building. The systems including GSHP, VAV, Central Ventilation, Lab Pressure controls, VRF Heating and cooling and MCW. The building is provided with KNX ceiling mounted multi use sensors connected to the BMS to provide control of the VAV and VRF units within all spaces. The VRF system uses GSHP and condensers to provide the temperatures for the system. Critical pressure controls are provided within the lab areas to ensure the systems operate for the client’s pressure regimes. The new system led to eco-i being appointed for further works on site including decentralisation of the old steam boiler house along with site wide BMS fibre installation across 5 buildings.

Facility Management Benefits

The BEMS server head end software provides full integration to all connected systems and offers the building operator full reporting of the operating status of all connected systems across the site. The BEMS is tailored to provide two-way graphics navigation along with features such as weekly reports and alarm management via email. The EMS is provided with dashboard displays for the building operator to view and manage their energy usage.
